 Jeff is the member of the team who I cause the most trouble! As a qualified marine biologist and commercial diver you might not consider Jeff’s credentials relevant for his role as team mechanic. However previous experience of working on jet ski engines, diesel generators and competing with his brother in auto tests as a teenager and a natural aptitude for ‘tinkering’ with all things mechanical stood him in good stead for learning how to set up and maintain a 2-stroke GP engine! Now changing carb settings, mapping the ignition and using the data logger to gain advantage are second nature to him and having completely rebuilt the bike in an evening after a 110mph crash before now, he’s proven that he’s become a dab hand at repairs too! Top bloke!

Bev and Tony complete the pit wall trio. Always full of encouragement and a general desire to have some fun and laughter along the way, they also have to be the most enthusiastic bike racing fans I’ve ever met and regardless of how it’s going they always make the atmosphere in our team one of the best in the paddock. Having sponsored several riders previously through their dedication to the sport they decided to swap their tea and cucumber sandwiches in the hospitality tent for our pit board and stop watch on pit wall and I couldn’t think of anyone I’d rather have hurling abuse at me to go faster! ;-)
