The British 125cc Championship runs as a support class at all British Superbike Championship events. In 2010 all support races are to be screened on British Eurosport 2 and crowd attendances at BSB events are currently reported to be around 30K and are continuing to increase.
Being the only female rider in the class attracting grids of up to 44 riders, the rarity alone of being a female racer has drawn significant attention regardless of her finishing position. Following her move to the British Championship Catherine featured in a 7 page article in the national publication, Motorcycle Racer Magazine, and has continued to attract regular coverage in the local press and featured several times in the televised footage over the past couple of years. Her skills on the race track have also been put to good use on photoshoots to capture precision riding shots for brochures, press pack material and promotional video footage for the likes of Triumph motorcycles and Alpinestars motorcycle clothing.
Racing at British championship level requires substantial funding and Catherine and her team are grateful for any offers of support they receive, whether it be financially based or through the supply of equipment or services. For sponsors wishing to support Catherine and her team, arrangements can be made for logo space on the race bike, transport and leathers if required. A logo and link will also feature on the website. Complimentary tickets can also be made available on request and anyone wishing to come along will be warmly welcomed.
